I met Steve when he first joined Singing Hills Golf club (late 90's I think). He was a wonderful golfer completely natural and was never any different in his mood no matter how well the game was going. He commanded respect not just because he was a good team mate but because he was of the highest quality as a man. Always interested in the individual and their families, always friendly - I never heard him say a bad word about anyone. Steve may have been quiet and modest but would enjoy a good laugh and was always the best of company He will be missed by everyone who knew him but all of us who spent time with him, are the better for that experience.
